Floating In The Air

Greetings Magix community,

Today I will present a very ambient piece 'Floating In The Air'. What is floating? Here musical notes are floating, the notes in this track tend to sustain, float, fly ... you get the idea.

In the first major part of this track there is an ambient melody with many long notes running at 75 bpm. A gentle sort of floating. In about the last minute of the track I will set the notes loose to fly freely. The first part of the song is based on some good Magix loops that could be an example of a floating song ... the remaining minute of the music done primarily with my own studio synths and a good quality reverb in the sound chain, the notes being bright and as light as a feather ... though you may feel the low notes hanging close to the ground ;)

A very gentle beginning, gradually swelling in volume to a few dramatic clanks and thunks. Then we float along to the infinite sighs and the occasional percussive punctuation. Interesting to hear the studio synths and a good quality reverb. I have no ear for when reverb is quality or not. I usually take whatever's on offer in the default presets. We get a sense of blasting off as the notes take flight and scatter loosely in the air. A very well made ambient style track.
