"If You Leave Me Now" was written in 1976 by Peter Cetera who was a member of the band "Chicago".   The song was a hit in countries worldwide and was "Chicago's" first BIG hit.

Not only is the group comprised of talented musicians but they use their talent and fame to help others by raising money for worthy causes. For the past several years Chicago has teamed with the American Cancer Society and offered the opportunity to bid on the chance to sing their hit, "If You Leave Me Now" with them on stage live at their concerts. Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society to fight breast cancer.

I hope  you enjoy this arrangement of :Chicago's  "If You Leave Me Now"

Hi Trish:

I was never a big fan of Chicago.... except a couple of songs like "25 or 6 to 4" or "I'm a Man", that i like a bit more, i really never paid much attention to the band.

This song that you choose is one of that pop songs of the top's worldwide, and one of those that never didn't like it very  much.... but i have to say that in my opinion you have turn the song much more interesting than the original, your version is enjoyable to hear and nothing boring like the original version.... in fact while i'm writing here is already the 2º time that i'm hearing .... i could never do that with the original!!!!

Great work Trish!

All the best to you

Emanuel

Very nice music that we all know .... but in your arrangement there is much of your, the way you feel and to diffuse emotions, I felt a little bit of tension and restlessness, resentment and nostalgia.

i like a lot.

Hi Trish:

Sorry I am a little late to this fine musical affair.  Feels like I just walked into a softly-lit night club...  That piano whispering it's dulcet melody from across the room...  Oh, that's Trish Marshall, off into the cozy distance.  I should have known...

A truly accomplished interpretation of a truly beautiful song, my dear friend.

Gentle loving soothing key touches, carefully weighted thoughtful stroked tones, I'm floating on the evocative melody issuing from your figure tips. You make it your own beautiful sound, thank you for the listening pleasure.

Gorgeous playing, some of the best I've heard in a while! It also seems to suit the time of year, sort of winding down for the holidays. I wouldn't mind if the tempo was even slower, but that's just me.

Hi! marshallt2. Ich würde nicht immer sagen wie "das Übliche" von Dir, welches mit Deinen Händen gespielt wird. Ist ja auch nicht immer einfach, wie? Besinnliche Festtage und einen guten Rutsch im Voraus.

Trish,

My goodness.  You did an extraordinary job on this cover.  Chicago and Boston were a couple of my favorite groups.  I especially loved their horn sections!!!

Your piano is out of this world.  Thank you for sharing this with me.  It's going into my favs!!!
