Paring it back from the multiple layered tracks I've been immersed in recently to a simpler instrumental line up again.  Upright Bass, Upright Piano, Saxophonia and Jazz Drums.  Playing at trying to be jazzy once more, in something quite laid back.

Wasn't written with him in mind, but I'll dedicate it to the late Alan Rickman, the brilliant UK actor who died of cancer yesterday.  He played the German villain in the first Die Hard Film, the hilarious Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves, and Snape in Harry Potter.  Shakespearean actor and respected director, he was well loved over here.  Another great loss, and again a 69 year old icon dying of cancer.  2016 isn't starting well for our famous creatives.

Thanks for listening, if you do.

I appreciate the creativity here. The skill in building a tune. The quiet moments to just let the smoke filled jazz room fill your lungs, to the increases in musical intensity led by the brass instrument and the lower toned piano moments that put you on notice. Jazz music is not a genre I pay attention to but the production and soundscape here is creative and worthy of a good respectful listen.

Well done.

Hello Nick,

Your easy listening, laid-back tune has reached my ears like a good red wine would unfold it's aromes in full. I won't mention cigars, this is no more trendy, still I see the connection here - hmm...oldschool.

This track is a very creative and greatly composed piece of jazzy easy listening. Like it. Very much so.

Best regards, Norbert

I am so glad you narrowed down that actor, I was quite vague of the name, but the details certainly put a face there.

Robin hood >< The blind guy on the toile....

hahaha

But...

I never knew he died, this is both a new fact and a breath taker in the one.

It seems my focus on Bowie has made this news take a while to get to me!

Jeesh, I am pretty gobsmacked.

Your work on the instrumental is very well done and I like the composition of it being in dedication for him. For me, it picked his style very well!

still a work in your sumptuous style unusual and unique.
a sound that runs along roads that touch various musical styles.
the wind instruments used are no doubt very well kept and of great quality
there is no doubt that your style of composition will be at the forefront and you have the nerve to go on a road that is unique and inimitable.
dear friend, I think the time has come to do a piece together where the fusion of our styles will definitely esposiva, is always clear whether you like it
Very good as always

Salut mon ami Nick,

Amicalement.

Patrick
