I think that most people know this song by The Doors. It was released in 1967. Since this song desperately needs a drum track, I asked Spritebat ( Travis) if he would be kind enough to add a drum track to it and of course, he did a spendid job! Thanks Travis!!!

It was a fun song to do and perhaps too iconic of a song to try to cover but we had a blast with it, huh, Travis?

Hope you like this.....................

we are talking about one of the biggest of the rock generation of the 1960s ...
very famous track and therefore very difficult to remix.
I'm sorry you did a great job .. Very Funkey

Hi Trish, with this song, back in time, I was a kid but I remember very well this track.
Great cover, you've made a beautiful version and Travis did a great job with drums.
It will surely be a success.
Great applause.

Hi Trish,

WOW! A real blast from the past. Loved it. You make it sound fresh, I really liked the voicing you chose for the keys.

So many "classic" songs and you have covered many of them brilliantly. You always seem to pick my favorites, can't wait to hear your next "classic" cover!

Have to say that Travis did a great job with the drum track, fits perfectly.

Some times People are Strange but in The End, we all applaud When the Music's Over!

Great job!

Cheers,

Stu

Hey Stu. Thanks for your nice words. I'll bet you Five To One that even though I try to Take It As It Comes and I can Tell All the People this, I've really been Down So Long that the day after A Blue Sunday ( Monday lol), I just have to rest the entire next day. Strange Days, Mondays are. But I posted this song on a Monday regardless so I hope it goes well.

(this is really bad!)

All the best,

Thanks, Trish. Sounds good, and yes, I did have fun with it! Looking forward to doing more drum tracks some time.

I think I've missed the last several songs that you've posted here. Sorry! I'll listen very soon.

each instrument counts, the missing instruments give an unfinished to the melody, so happens to my music when I upload incomplete.
I think this work is very well done, the percussion has changed everything.
The selection of instruments was very adequate, I like much more than the original version, I want to say that sounds much more current than the original and therefore I feel more comfortable listening to your version.
This music has passion and charm, very attractive memory.
It has been a wonderful collaboration. A pleasure to listen to. Thank you for sharing.

😊 Wonderful - it´s a great pleasure for me listening to the spirit of the 60´s where young people like the Doors opened a new era of music. And that´s under the symbols of love and peace and better understanding. It´s a great coverversion - I like it 🙂

Salutations amicales.

Patrick

Trish, another excellent piece !!! You are extremely extraordinary at recreating and reworking classic pieces in a way that definitely keeps all of us at full attention and 100% focused on all of your songs.

I think you came through pretty good on this one. Be proud of yourself.

Damn, if you were closer it would be cool to jam a bit. :-)

It would be cool to jam. I can't do drums. Tried and it just sounds awful

Wow !! great cover of the Doors. Love the way you tickle the ivory's... great job on the music and the drum track. The doors had a lot of what I think was under rated tunes, they were very different for their time even though most people just lumped them into the psychedelic genre. Very well done, I loved it....
