Love Me

Ok this one is a bit out there.  Starts out as a simple love song then goes rather paranoid, delusional stalker.  Again it's another effort playing around with the voice synthesizer from Plogue.com - Alter/Ego - Daisy.  Based round a simply made repetitive arp, using Curve 2.5 and DN-e1 sounds.  A few other midi vst sounds thrown in at various points, which is just as well, as it's probably a bit flabby and in need of a serious triming down on length.

Amazingly I resisted the upright bass this time - and am getting withdrawal symptoms even as I write this.  All midi work as usual.  Thanks for listening, if you do.

Lyrics below in case anyone is remotely intrerested in the mutterings going on in this.  Had the same fun getting words to articulate with the vst.  If you give it a go (it is free) then you'll understand and hopefully be able to offer some pointers.

You Swept in like the wind on a summer's day.
None of us stood a chance, we were just blown away.
As you left, did you smile at me?  I wasn't sure.
Whatever spell you cast, I'm not sure I want the cure.
You came back and we said hello.  It meant much more.
I could see you felt it too.  Something altered at the core.
You and I are meant to be together, though we met not long ago.
The attraction's undeniable.  I know you want me though you say you don't.
Ha, ha, ha.  That's so cute.

Why won't you take my calls?  why say that you don't love me.
What made you turn away, to treat me so unfairly.
I think there's someone telling lies.
Some other rival who wants you for herself.
I will just wait until you come to understand,
That only I can bring you happiness and health.

To be near you I will wait outside your home.
I'll watch over you and keep you safe from harm.
Only I am worthy to be called your love.
That girl you live with doesn't love you near enough.

Let me love you.
Please let me love you.

This just put me in a good mood, and when I heard the first sound, can i say, this was a damn good mix like these mystical voices. Keep it on. Nice to hear.

All the best. Regards...

Hoi Nickillus

Exactly how I like it with you, highly experimental but still manageable, and with good structure.
this brute bkgrnd with these fine melodies give a crazy atmosphere.

partly totally crazy but certainly very creative ....
why: for the music I give 4, but for your creativity +1 Star it.

I repeat once again that your style is unique and very interesting.
music that never gives points of reference, but which contains rhythmic phrasing of great impact.
I would say that this time your work is of the highest level
very good

Bro, this is beautiful.

And you left your light sabre (Upright Bass) back on Tatooine for this one. The force is strong with you, it is!

Fantastic. The text to voice VST is a great addition, it sounds cool and is much clearer (although i still like to read the lyrics, maybe I'm old fashioned or something) whatever you are doing with it now has worked.

Also, in regard to what's being said, lyrically, you are telling stories here bro, and really well at that! Just last song, joins up with this barotone voice, now, this time, barotone is gone for a bit of a vacation from the schizo stalker chick... ><

Would be funny if the next track was the barotone voice doing a Shaggy style, it wasn't Me track in retalliation to this stalker track.

Anyhow, about the beat.

I love the racing synths, deep and bassy with a tiny bit of muffle, yet still good clarity. Almost like it's underwater, but amplified so it doesn't distort. Very, very nice sound and matches the voice well to.

The fact you have more than one bass synth playing and they sound very smooth on there own merits without 'clashing' in the mix of it all, is well appreciated and duly noted.

And you're high note sounds are really well played, they match up with the mids and lows very smoothly, both, when they're played on their own, and when they're being played together they sound great.

The actual feel you have created in this track with the instrumental, suits the story really well.

About the story... I love it!!!

I like the fact it's the chick that's the stalker, makes it more comedic. Cause in the news, it is generally not that way... Totally different.

Though this one lucky guy in Russia was held captive, in a cage, by a gorgeous lady, she was rich, he was given water (likely filtered), caviar (most probably) fed food + Viagra, and given, the, ahem, hanky panky on an hourly basis... And, yeah, he still complained about it being cruelty! Maybe some people are soft?

Now, the turn around time???

In only a few days work you turn this around? You have someone helping don't you? These voices aren't just a creation for these songs are they. They're people when you're AFK!!!

Hey Nickillus,

This track is awesome. Gives me goosebumps while listening.

You, again, made a fantastic experimental song with an extremely different vocal part. Love it.

The pulsating synths are too good...

The story as such is also very fitting to this slightly disturbing (in a positive way) atmosphere.

You ARE the master of experimental songs, no doubt.

All the best, Norbert

Booaaah, one more demonstration of your great feeling for music! This is far away from the commercial shit. You put some very interesting sounds together. You created a special atmosphere. And your work with the voice synth is well done. No doubt a ***** event!!!
