To the Magix Community,

I would like to present an instrumental song that is a part of the Christmas and New Years holiday season that goes beyond the simple expression of peace of my previous song. This piece is something that involves a feeling that has always guided me to create, to travel, to inspirer, to build ... to commit myself to a new idea, a new or greater relationship with someone, or to others. A new year is coming, and perhaps a new resolution or commitment is coming with the new year.

Such things can sometimes be never be said in words but in feelings only the way music can express.

This guidance is always to me a kind of message to me.. We look into the sky and see impressions ... that can be seen as a bright new idea, or perhaps a need to beware of difficult challenges to come.

I feel the need to do something. Be it providence or destiny, I feel a strong determination to accomplish something that the message I feel is telling me.

How is this expressed in music? My first idea was maybe a spacey sound ... but something better though as an inspirational sound, something that gives mixed feelings for whatever is to come. The melody in this song may be somewhat familiar but it seems to fit what I am wanting to express.

I hope you enjoy this piece, in the various movements of the song there may be both powerful or even gentle messages felt.

Messengers arrives with a sweep of glorious themes that lift the listener almost immediately. There’s a sense of being carried — not pushed — into something larger than oneself, as though unseen guides are quietly urging us onward. The title feels apt: these are messengers from beyond, leaning in just long enough to say, “Go for it.”

At the same time, the track has a wonderfully human side. It’s equally suited for those moments when you simply want to put your feet up and let the world drift by. The music doesn’t demand anything; it offers. It opens a space.

What stands out most is the sheer profusion of sound — joyful, layered, and confident. It feels like anticipation made audible, the sense that the light at the end of the tunnel might actually be light this time, and not a freight train barreling toward us.

In short, Messengers is uplifting without being grandiose, comforting without being too soft, and full of that rare energy that makes you feel part of something bigger. A beautiful piece.

Thanks again for your clear, accurate, and thorough impressions of many of my music contributions and certainly 'Messages'. You have captured the meaning and intentions of this piece very well. The messages can certainly go with the season of looking forward and having confidence in what is to come and feel good about our accomplishments. And as we all know the message could also be a warning of challenges and problems to come. However we maintain an upbeat mood, facing problems without fear, without frustration, with confidence, strength, and resilience.

But for the benefit of those of us who need encouragement in the Magix community this can also apply to creating music. We have the tools to create good music, and all of the above certainly applies to creating and sharing our music. And fear not, overcome the frustration, and feel the message of all of the above. To all of us who love to make and share our songs may 2026 be a great and wonderful year of ideas and music.

Some technical detail here. 'Messages' is built on Magix loops throughout. I used a Magix template in this case that had the basics of the melody of this song. It started out as a multitrack version of this song and I added some layers of accompaniment based on the core melody with some of my own hardware and software resources.

Just add a little salt, pepper, and spice to the sound and voila. If it sounds weird at first maybe you just have something that is very original and why should it sound like anything else ... it is your sound and it may catch on!
