Another track in which I'm experimenting with the Voice synthesizer Alter/Ego, free from Plogue.com.  This time I'm leading with the Daisy 'Tenor' variant, but have Daisy singing backing in places.  Still struggling with getting the thing to produce clear diction, but have tried to push it with some more complicated lyrical content.  Well done if you understand even a quarter of it.  Lyrics are included below to demystify the thing.

This one is about not giving in to old age, and not to be taken too seriously.  All midi vst work as usual.

Thanks for listening, if you do.

The Groove is going on and permeating round the basement.
But if I  try to dance I'll dislocate my hip replacement.
The beat is telling me to get my body to the dance floor.
But since I've gotten old my feet forget what they go there for.

So I just sway, and do the shuffle.
No ace to play, no big kerfuffle.
My heart says move, but my body isn't listening.
It's hard to prove that my soul still has a song to sing.

The rhythm beckons me to get my body into motion
To get on down and strut my stuff.
But even with the pills and super-strength, prescription lotion,
My limitations make it tough.

So I just sway, and do the shuffle.
No ace to play, no big kerfuffle.
My heart says move, but my body isn't listening.
It's hard to prove that my soul still has a song to sing.

I'm going to keep on moving.
Time is stalking everyone - Getting older takes a toll.
Though I'm past my prime, I can sway in time.
But even if your body starts to let you down, You can stay young in your soul.
I'm going to keep on moving.
Time is stalking everyone - Getting older takes a toll.
Though my moves are lame, I'm still in the game.
But even if your body starts to let you down, You can stay young in your soul.
Inside, I'm still young -  Inside I'm still young

You know, that I am a fan of your music. And while I'm listening to your latest offer ... I can't change my mind It's an unusual and interesting track. Good job, but the vocals are too loud ... I think. Nevertheless *****

I like this track bro!

So much so that I though, OMG, no upright bass again, and it still sounds good. Has he deleted it from his VST list...

No (and thank god for that) it was there!!! At the end!!

I like how you got the lyrics more pronounced withing the whole stereo field - And they do sound better. Each time you make them sound way better.

I especially like the choir bit with Daisy singing up front,

I can see why you have raised the vocals, otherwise they sit to far in the back.

What I do with mine is have two raw tracks of the vocals, one above the other. I EQ, Reverb, compress and parametric EQ the top vocal track (I only weak compress the lyrics, use Vox plate:B reverb setting with mix dial set +5%, my own personal EQ setting, parametric EQ work) then I apply thos settings and send that track to the narrow stereo band and adjust its volume in the stereo FX rack to stop it from distorting.

Then the second track, I only EQ, nothing else, then send it to the 'wide' stereo FX rack, slightly panned left with the direction pan slider, then I finally stop that from distorting using the volume adjustment in the stere FX rack.

I find that to get my vocals sounding like me IRL. I know I use a mic, and it maybe different, but the concept of 'softening' vocal consonants would be the same.

And that's not for me. Personally I like this as it is now, but I am going off another comment posted below.

So, the track (this is why I fill your comments sections up, so sorry bout this bro!) is nice.

I like your style of music, and everytime you post a track I listen a good few times, especially after I post the comment (Bond Does Halloween anyone? Yes Please!)

Your worksmanship with your lyrics tell a story, and they do it well. They do it in a way that I easily relate with and the words you chose to use themselves, make me think..

And Daisy sounds pretty hot. Way better than Taylor Swift!

It took a while for this one, but it was well worth the wait bro

overall I think this track is simply great.
mail to the maximum essence, but also a sound research that distinguishes your inconforndibile style.
a fusion of styles very complicated to understand, but always interesting
style no doubt only
