Hello Fellow Music Lovers!

I hope everyone brought in 2015 on a high note.

Here is a little number with Jazz and Funk elements.  I am not going to belabor you with all of the technical aspects that went into the creation of this song.  Briefly, Wurlitzer (electric), Fender, [piano and bass], Session Horns Pro, Chris Heins Winds <flute> etc.).

I figured this piece would be a good way to begin the year...

Hope you find the tune pleasurable.

Griff

GOOD HIGH QUALITY

I cant actually comment on the track as i non listener to jazz.

im not sure what i can say.

i respect jazz as an ARTFORM and i come from huge family of jazz lovers and soul music.

Jazz was that type of music i avoided as a child and even now i avoid it.

Jazz "feels" to down and depressing to me.

If the intention of jazz music is intented to depress me then it sure does work.

i feel depressed and just dam right bored with it.

IM NOT TALKING ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE MADE.

Im talking about jazz a "whole" artform.

my parents were ella fitzgerald fans and the duke, tommy dorsey.,and charley barnet.

i suppose that is why i dont listen to jazz to many bad memorys.

I DO LOVE SOUL though griff always have always will.

i give you 5 stars based on "HIGH CLEAN GOOD QUALITY SOUND"

the fact is people can not respect one type of music with out respecting all over types of music. Because they all come from each other and even some times there combined to make even the "cynic" stop to listen.

" ALL MUSIC IS AN ARTFORM" and i refuse anyone to tell me any different."

all the best to you.

And it is the de-sacralization of all of these that has put us in the mess that we find ourselves.

If you can’t make the trip to my studio yourself, don’t worry I now have my brand new Online Mastering Service. Many of my customers are happy to leave me to it, and my wide-ranging experience ensures that you can trust me to make sound judgements on your behalf – no pun intended!

The services on offer include both attended and unattended (online) mastering, vinyl cutting, re-mastering, editing and restoration. For further details please message me here.

A gorgeous room full of lots of lovely equipment isn’t going to cut the mustard unless it’s in the hands of an experienced creative engineer who understands your music and how to get the results you’re looking for.

I personally have been mastering for over 14 years now.
i have remixed and engineered for alice deejay.

Please note home mastering and studio mastering are not the same. This is a misconception. the process is different, and while the sound of the polished track may seem the same to the NAKED EAR so to speak actually sound different to the trained ear.

THE TRACKS I WILL BE UPLOADING WILL BE ONLY "HOME" MASTERING. (fast process). music maker defaults are ok but not polished.

most people are not concerned about the mastering there more comcerned about the FEEL.

i do not work for free so please do not sent me tracks to be mastered (for free). my time is not cheap.

They are afraid of taking risk? Or is something that happens during the "nurturing" phase of life with overprotective parents. Maybe it's even a genetic thing.

IF I DO NOT LIKE THE MUSIC I WILL "NOT"  WORK WITH IT.

I ONLY EVER WORK WITH MUSIC I PERSONALLY ENJOY.
THIS WAY MY PROFESSIONAL APPROACH CAN BE MET TO VERY HIGH STANDARDS.

Hey Bud

You got another funky good one here. You sure have the right touch for this kind of jazz!

Wurlitzer electric was my very first electric and it was an ugly white that left a ding mark (and there were many because I carried it back and forth to gigs) every time I bumped it on something.  It did the job and I wish I still had that sucker.

This is off topic but the first piano I had after I got married, we got for $25 and spray painted it black (not the keys LOL) Ahhh, dem were the days, my friend........

Love this tune and I like the current title better than the original one you mentioned.

Your pal,

Trish

Hi Griff,

very impressive track to begin the year... jazz is not my genre (I usually listen to rock/metal music and synth pop) . I love the sound of live intruments (like guitar or piano) and your music has a soul .. great feeling

It was a pleasure to listen your tune.

Cheers,

Edi

Here to listen be inspired and improve own skill in music making and mastering etc.

Mostly make music with a movie ongoing so much of the tracks will be more soundtrack'ish than actual club/dance orientated. Sadly Iam yet to un-skilled in the process of making the actual moving pictures/movies.

I really appreciate the nice feedback. Makes a happy Happy.

Must admit that my deutsc/german is stinking and cant translate comments in that launguage very good.

Please keep comments in english, unless its very very bad critism, then please use Deutsc ;P

My movie projects are located on youtube as I cant get to upload here.

Please veiw and comment.

you are my personal grandmaster of jazz. You just feel for the tone and dynamics in this music.

This instrument choice, I find great.
Because of you, I've noticed that I liked jazz flute very well.

Bravo, I like your gentle smooth jazz.

Hey Griff,

Yes sir...you started 2015 out with a bang!  Love this to pieces.  Love the mix of jazz and funk...kind of an urban versus suburbs piece.  I totally enjoyed this and it's getting added to my favs!!!  Well done, my friend, well done.  This is a "breakout" year for you creatively.  I can't wait to see what comes out of the "Mind of Griff" next!!!
