Pockets full of Sand

The story of the track is that each sound is a personality and they are all having a friendly delightful discourse and everything is going fine until suddenly in this group the guitar barges in, this guitar personality is abrasive, course, pushy, rude, a rough diamond so to say, opposite to the others. The guitar personality wants to be center of attraction and tries to takeover the group but the others resist and try to get the guitar to consider others feelings and fit in like themselves, it doesn't happen so they all move away from the guitar and for a while things settle down to a pleasent agreeable mood again, then the guitar barges back in to the group - this is life - opposites in counter balance.

I hope this story complements your enjoyment of this track

Hoi Indigo

I'm missing a matching intro. You bursts directly into the song.

The sounds, the bass, the piano, the beat ..... it all sounds very fine and dreamy. Unfortunately, the guitar fits like a fist on the eye. The metal guitar has lost in this beautiful chiller for my taste nothing.

Hi! Für mich nicht sinngemäß genug. Sand ja, und Dingsbums dann. Woraus die Musik abzielt, ging mir nicht in den Kopf. Auch Musik hat eine gewisse Logik.

Hi Indigo,

Loved the idea. I found this to be very listenable. Well chosen instrumentation and melodies.

I agree, the guitar presents a strong counter balance to the rest of the very beautiful music. You have interpreted you story line very well.

Super job.

Cheers,

Stuart

PS You could also be describing life in a typical garage band not employing a soundman.

Hi Indigo:

I agree with Stu.  The concept is terrific.  Just as your description of this song says, the guitar "barges" in and attempts to distract from the other instruments.  So, based upon the story-line, the piece stands admirably on that premise.
