OPEN HOUSE BLUES:

Dear friends:
Here i am presenting once again a song from Open House Blues.

This time we came with our very first original as a band, and you can believe me when i say that we are very much proud of it.

Unfortunately we don't play as much as we would like, and as we should, but every time that we can be together for a all night just playing and discuss music, we are there no matter what.
Sometimes in the middle of those rehearsals, we don't play anything in concrete, we just play what ever we feel, generally begins from a chord or a riff that someone starts to play, and the rest of the crew just fallow... of course that most of the times nothing that really matters comes from there, just a bunch of free riffs and lot's of noise, but there are some other times, that great ideas comes from those magical moments....
When someone starts a riff and then all the rest follow, there are some breef moments that we can create an atmosphere where all we are connected somehow without even talk...those moments are absolutely indescribable.

Till now we have had more concern with the covers songs that we have been doing, and we left those moments in a 2º plan, but very good ideas has come from those moments.
Now we decide to present one idea that was born in one of those momentary lapse of reason.

Is our very first Original, and we are proud for it!

OPEN HOUSE BLUES IS:

Manuel Rodrigues - Acoustic Guitar / Vocals

Jean Loup - Electric Guitars

José Kafka - Keyboards

Emanuel Correia - Bass / Drum Programming

Hope you enjoy it listening as we enjoy playing it!

Yea!  First to comment!!

This is pretty cool.!  So that's you singing.  Very nice voice.

You know, I totally agree with you that sometimes the best music comes when you just sit down (unless  you are a bass player then you have to stand)  The trouble with that is that it's hard to duplicate what  you played unless something is written down.  At least that is a problem for me.

Music is great stuff.  Your voice is amazing and so is your English!!!

Hi Emanuel:

This doesn't sound like a "lapse of reason" to me.  In fact, this song is a perfect example of what a group of creative musicians can come up with while simply being extemporaneous.

Manuel is in rare vocal form.  I like the way he caresses the lyrics (who wrote them)?  The sultriness of the words really make this song a pleasure to listen to.  As for the accompanying instrumental, you guys have never disappointed.

You stated that the band had fun putting this piece together?  Well, it's more than evident.  Any observant listener can always tell if there is "chemistry" among band members, and you cats definitely have each other's back.  I like that a lot.

You can tell the fellas for me that I have really enjoyed listening to the first published composition from, Open House Blues, and that I DEMAND more in the near future!  <lol>

Have a great weekend, my friend!

Griff

I know that feeling very well and you guys certainly created something very magical! Loved everything about this song, laid back tempo, super vocals and great instrumentation.

Since this is your first original, you have set the bar very high for your next composition. Based on what I've heard, I don't think you will have any problem.

Looking forward to the next one!

Job well done to all.

Cheers,

Stuart

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA
