Google Fonts is an online library of fonts maintained by Google. Google Fonts can be used for both design purposes and for websites.
Google Fonts are fully supported in Designer Pro and Web Designer and are only partially supported in Photo & Graphic Designer, where they can only be used for websites.
Google Fonts are TrueType fonts and can also be used in any type of print document, such as PDF or MS Word export.
Multi-Weight Google Fonts
Some Google Fonts, such as Exo, provide a range of different weights. The font weight can be set to values between 100 (extra light or thin) and 900 (extra bold or black).
Depending on the font weight, the "Bold" option (B key) produces different effects:
- 100 to 300 (thin/extra light/light) results in the following weight when bolded: 400 (normal)
- 300 to 500 (normal/medium) results in the following weight when bolded: 700 (bold)
- 600 to 900 (semi bold/bold/extra bold etc.) results in the following weight when bolded: 900 (black)
Uninstalling Google Fonts
