RE: My video is freezing when I try to export it. (MP4)
@Tony-Rapisarda Hi . . . . send me videos that they took that come in HEVC form . . . . The 2nd time, most of the audio is offset by 1-15 seconds. Any ideas on how to fix this? . . . . This would suggest that some or all of the video files are

    RE: codec cost
@Reyfox Hi The video is 'standard' AVC/h.264 at a very high bitrate due to the profile level being high quality at 5.1. The encoding is standard GOP structure, however it is not All-Intra, therefore no AVC-Intra decoder needed. From the M=1 N=12

@DarkWestern I'm at fault for writing in cryptic; looking back, my instructions were a bit misleading. So, here's a better version. - Set up your movie settings (File>Settings>Movie); use one of the Social media presets, or type in your own

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
@johnebaker John, yes, I get those edge lines too. I surmise that that will be because 1.33 is not 1.333333333r. Unfortunately, MMS will not accept the correct ratio (nor will it accept it's own 4:3 droplist setting). As for the frame shape, if you

RE: perception in VPX (trial) in relation to MMS
@johnebaker Even though I'm still using Windows 10, in my environment VPX stands out and you brought the terminology very right: more precision in VPX! (I evaluated this in the speed effect when I was positioning variable frame rates with the mouse)

    RE: [Closed] Website Observation
@johnebaker 0.25 x is the limit with the speed effect no matter what values lower than 0.25 you type in irrespective of whether the audio is attached or deleted before applying the Speed effect. However by using the mouse Stretch mode you can slow

    RE: Status format for 23.976?
SFP does not have a 24 drop frame setting in the 'time display'. TC metadata can be changed in existing BWF files, I think Sound Devices 'Wave Agent' can transcode a WAV to BWF.

@Eric-Elliott Hi Eric, The timeline is measured in hours, minutes, seconds and frames - hh:mm:ss:ff. There are no fractions of a second, only frames. Still images are as long as you want them to be - meaning showing for x seconds or y frames - you

@DarkWestern Hi, Every editor is pretty much the same in this regard, as @AAProds said When you create/open a new project the program will ask you what size & frame rate you want. When you import the first video clip into that new project, if

RE: How to fix or smooth de-interlaced content?
Here's a MP4 snippet render of a conversion to 50 frames per second of the Deint file (00059) using the RIFE plugin of AVISynth. It's not perfect (see the bouncy titles at the start) but does a pretty decent

@me_again @AAProds @johnebaker @vdl-user-v19 I'm not sure if my contribution is relevant or not as I'm still using MMS 2024 and VPX 14 but I'm not having any quality issues with hardware encoding at 4K or HD at any frame rate from 60 down to 25fps

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
Yes the NTSC numbers are more confusing than PAL. The original NTSC frame rate was 30, but to be able to slip in the color it was changed to 29.97 (30000/1001), but 24FPS became 23.976 and then interlaced to 29.97. I haven't checked the 29.97 rate.

    RE: Scrolling Suggestion-Thoughts Please
@browj2 @AAProds Hi John, Al. This gets more curious. In VPX the mouse wheel movement of one positional rotation gives me a two and a half frame jump but in MMS it is one and a half frames. I tried another experiment and adjusted audio frame buffers

It was made from a 720x480 4:3 DVD which was apparently lifted from a VHS tape likely of a broadcast, but may have been a dub from a 16mm film. As to the specs for the original film it is "The Leathernecks have Landed" which can be researched on

RE: Deinterlacing-How does Magix do it?
@AAProds Hi Al. It works reasonably well with anything shot at a distance but even then if there is any camera movement the sides of the frame gets weird distortions if the foreground is busy, like bushes, plants, anything with fine detail. The less
