[Solved] Poor audio playback

Hello I'm having a problem with the sound output/playback in the MusicMaker 2024 program. I got 3 new sound packs today and installed them, but when I tried to use the sounds they were full of background static and the rhythms and tempos were off.

Lossy (data compressed) file types such as MP3, AAC, ect. require codecs to render (save / encode) a file and playback (decode). PCM (Wave) files are not compressed and do not need a codec. Wave is the preferred file type for editing and processing.

@G.K.G. In case you use files like MP3 please go into the preferences and enable to always proxy compressed files. The compression algorithms can lead to problems with the waveforms.

[Solved] SF18 crashes when loading a file.
