  Seems to be a codec problem
  I'm trying to edit some video sourced from my Canon Legria HF R66 movie camera. I had nor problem editing MP4 files from this camera with previous version of Magix. I think it has worked with the current version, but not sure. The symptom is sound

  Voiceover Gate zeroes out the audio
  I just upgraded from 16 to 17. I have some pretty standard things I do for a podcast and using the Gate on Voiceover settings is one of them. If I do it in 17, after applying the waveform is a silent flat line. When I do it in 16 the VO gate applies

  @emmrecs Hi Jeff, Even though my M-Audio has MIDI in/out, I don't use that. My keyboard is connected to the computer by USB and works fine with Music Maker so long as the M-Audio is disconnected. I think I'll try out my wife's fifine audio interface

  @David-Rees Magix support was usually good until they were sold to new owners at the beginning of 2025. In summer 2025 they introduced their AI bot customer support and over the last three months they basically stopped answering support tickets.

  I think I have solved the problem. I was presented with a dialog box (I have no idea where it came from!) , which asked me if I wanted to download MPEG4. After I did this I have been able to select the export codecs

  @Pete-Lowland You're asking about this I believe? This is Vegas's Shuffle option, like I say I don't think Magix can do this on the main Timeline, you'd have to go into Scene overview or Storyboard mode. I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

  @Gid MMS has a limit of 0.25, that is 4x slower. I'm shaking my head saying B...ll.....cks, I think your brief visit to No it doesn't, type in 1 frame per second and see what happens.

  Is MS 2026 really any better?
  As i get the sales pop-up's when MS 2024 starts i have to ask the question.. Is 2026 really any different/better than 2024? it looks " as far as i can see" pretty much the same . Same add-on's etc. i think Respeedr v2 is newer . thoughts ? the good

  @JoaoBC In Sound Forge Pro go to Process > Channel Converter to mix your six channels down to two channels. In Sound Forge Audio Studio I think you need to create a new stereo file and copy and paste the channels manually via Paste Special.

  I check for updates every day. Vegas 22 works fine so I would think soundforge 18 would work. Vegas is the software that is most updated. Sound Forge 18 has not received an update. If Magix has no interest in Sound Forge, then Magix should sell it.
