RE: IConnection
Not all cameras can nor will be recognisable to a program from any manufacturer. You have connected via firewire with no joy? If you are using Win7 sometimes you need to regress, i.e. use an older driver for the firewire card IEEE Bus

RE: how can i record the video from my camcorder ?
For a Mini-DV camera you need a Firewire cable. There are 2 types, 4pin/4pin for a Laptop, and 4pin/6pin for a stationary PC (normally). Hope you have Firewire contact on your PC. Then you can transfer (capture) the file to the PC with MEP.

RE: What cable is needed to connect HDV Camera to pc?
For tape-cameras we must use Firewire-cable. Usually a 4-pin end in camera, and 4-pin to a Laptop. Stationary PC's have a 6-pin connection. And i hope your PC has FW-contact.
