@Ken-Eisenberg For backups always use the best audio quality. This would be WAV (or FLAC to save storage space), not MP3. I recommend that you install the demo version of the program you want to try. Do you have a way to connect your tape player to

@roger-s6350 And has your microphone enough reach? Are you using the built-in microphone of the laptop? If you use a separate microphone there shouldn't be any change in sound quality between your old and new laptop.   Some information: Depending on

RE: Should I choose Video Pro X or Vegas Pro?
@ghijohansson As far as I can see, Magix Movie Studio doesn't handle .m2ts files at all. I'm not sure how you came to this conclusion. Magix Movie Studio can import, edit and export .m2ts files. If you are having some issue and want a definitive

thank you both. Was just curious, as I have been since stepping back to Windows 10 for a Mac breather (and $$$). Yes, Silicon is why I got frustrated and sold it off after waiting for compliance on many audio things for 2 years.... I just got an

@Iris-Willis Hi, I asked in MS Edge how to convert HEIC files to jpg. The first answer was here. To manually convert HEIC photos to JPG, use the Files app on your iPhone or iPad. Create a new folder, copy and paste the photos from the Photos app

    RE: Videowandler 2 issues...
@Sami-Pekonmki My comments are based on this manual. Sami, do you by any chance, have a DV/Firewire port on your computer? That camcorder appears to be miniDV and the best transfer is via Firewire. Regarding the video signal, you would get better

@AAProds Hi Al. You say tomato, I say big red squishy thing 🤣. Either way there are only 'Export as MPEG-4' or Export as HEVC options for those wrappers within the programs. MPEG-4 exports using 'Advanced Video Coding' (avc 1) and HEVC exports using

I think 'MeGUI' is about the easiest to mux in a replacement audio track to a AAC (MP4) video, Save your remixed (or restored) sound track as a AAC audio file with a <.mp4> or <.m4a> extension (preferably with a 48k sample rate). Open

Thanks Willem, It will be an ASUS Proart Rtx 4060ti/16gb or 4070/12gb also Proart (not Ti), I’m still hesitating. The price difference is 120 eur. The latter should perform about 35% better in 2k editing/encoding. In 4k, both should be equivalent

    RE: To transfer video tapes
@renroy-b You can transfer the videos digitally via FireWire (but this usually works only with old computers which have such a connection) or via an USB S-Video/Cinch-Videograbber which converts the analog video signal to a digital signal. Install

@gregory-battaglia For unmixing you can use completely free tools like Ultimate Vocal Remover 5. You don't need to get SpectraLayers or RX for this. UVR offers the same unmixing algorithms (Demucs) and additional algorithms (MDX, VR, Ensembles etc.)
