With regards to the Sound Forge Pro 10 not opening properly.... I just set my executable to always run as admin which seems keep everything working fine for me. That will work, and keep some folks from delving into the potentially dangerous

RE: Adding uniform silence between sentences in many spoken word files

If you can find a script or someone to write one... that could be run through the SF batch utility to trim down head and tail silence. Check out the Sound Forge scripting archives. Some of those folks are still around. For instance, Ed at JETDV

Don't know if we will see the Remote Record again. You're not alone, lots of folks complained about losing that. SCS removed the 'Remote Record' feature in SF Pro 11. In fact, they changed the record UI all together... made it a lot less intuitive.
