RE: How does Photostory decide whether to create MTS or M2TS files?
Weird.  (But that's what my wife says about me, too.)   It's all from the same MPH.  The stuff in it is a mixture of JPGs - primarily from a Canon SX10, with a few from an IPhone, a few panoramas created using Canon's Photo Stictch, and a couple

RE: Is there a way to force the detailed Encode/Use window to appear?
I had been using a R/W disc while trying to fine tune the project.  Finally got down to just a couple of shows that needed tweaked.  At that point, I saved Old Project as Bad Project, ddleted the good shows from it, and focused on the problems.

RE: How do I set the maximum frame size & burn settings for Pro X6
Hi It is NOT possible, despite many peoples' belief otherwise, to have High Definition output from a DVD. Just to make this clear - the DVD format can only ever be Standard Definition but a DVD disc can be written with AVCHD 1920x1080

RE: How do I set the maximum frame size & burn settings for Pro X6
Hi If you are burning a DVD then the max resolution is 720 x 576 (PAL) or 720 x 480 (NTSC). If you want to play on an HD TV slect the appropriate DVD preset and then increase the bitrate to the maximum, leave all other settings alone they are

The first couple of lines of that log appear to be telling you that there's no disc in the drive, so can we first eliminate that? If there was a disc, try changing it for a different type. Failing that, can you successfully play the DVD folder

RE: Not burning to disk - can I save rendered files to pc?
Hi, Yes. In the Burn parameters (after the menu is done) click on Encode, give it a location, and burn. Don't put a DVD in the burner. The VOB files etc., will all be encoded to the location that you determine. Then you can use another program

I attempted to do this. At some point during the process, the blu-ray burnder opened. The disc was in it at the time. I closed it and then saw the space indicator on the disc. Then as it was about to finish, I got this error: I opened the log,

Cannot play blu-ray disc on blu-ray player
I have burned a blu-ray movie in MPEG-2 format, NTSC 1920x1080. See below.   I burns successfully, but I cannot play it on my brand new blu-ray player (Sony BDPBX120). I just got it and updated the firmware. It supports MPEG-2.  I am

    RE: Burning a blu-ray disc
I am now the proud owner of a blu-ray writeable burner. I burned the movie using Magix, as I have always done, except when I go to play it in both the PC and in the blu-ray machine, it doesn't play. I have not tried it with ImgBurn, but it really

OK. You can disregard previous messages. I have figured out how to do this. I am thinking my burner is not writeable, even though I was told. The movie I have done is large and spans over more than one disc. So I made a smaller movie and when I

Hi, I'll jump in here with a question. I have a nice DVD/BD burner in my computer, but, it can't actually write to BD. I had to read the fine-print. The message that I see in your screen shot is that Magix is saying that you can't burn to a BD

Hi Terry,    Here is my process. It  sounds to be what you do. (Yes there is a blank BD-R disc in the burner.) 1. From Edit mode, I click "Burning". From there I choose the template I want, modify the date, and then I click on the Burn icon

    Burning a blu-ray disc
I purchased blank blu-ray discs. When I pick blu-ray as the option and pick Standard NTSC (1920x1080), I get a message saying that this burner cannot write any BD-R type media. I checked with Dell and it can write DVDs and BDs, so I'm not sure

The problem appeared to be resolved of Magix Movie Edit Pro 2015 Plus burning PAL  DVD's when NTSC is selected.  After many e-mail back and forth to Magix support.  Here is what they recommend. Download the latest patch for MEP 2015,  you should
