Outputting Alpha Channel Videos for Website
I see this effect a lot and in all the iterations and releases of MAGIX over the year, I have not seen reference to outputing the video with a transparent alpha channel so a character chatting on a webpage can appear independent of the rectangle

RE: create curved screen smilebox effect from anamorphic video
screwfidel, The resize and stretch are easy using 'Effects' >> 'Size/Position' as shown below. I didn't have any anamorphic clips to use so I chose a familiar circle to demonstrate the stretch. I've used values in % as it was easier.

    RE: (MEP 2015 Plus) ... edge-of-picture feathering?
Make a white jpg in nearly the same size with a soft border. Put this above the picture and go to chromaKey and make a alpha mask. Now you have the pic with soft edges. Now let rotate the pic - after this copy (right mouse click) this effect and

RE: I would like to merge two videos to make one
Hi, Here is another idea but more complicated. Copy the alpha effects folders in C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro 2014 Plus\VideoEffects\EffectAlphaMasks to Documents\Magix projects and give it a name that you will remember. You will want

Hi Terry, Quite simple really, the images are at: C:\ProgramData\proDAD\Adorage\Adorage-GfxDatas\Overlay-Anim\Erde\Gfx and the masks at: C:\ProgramData\proDAD\Adorage\Adorage-GfxDatas\Overlay-Anim\Erde\Alpha Size: 724 x 566 px Resolution

    RE: File Ordering in Magix
Hi . . . . Sorting an alpha-numeric field on a computer always works the way that Magix has done it. . . . . It is not just Magix software that does this - any program which runs on Windows will do the same - it is Microsoft Windows that

    RE: File Ordering in Magix
Hi Fergal, First off, you have posted this in the Music Maker discussion forum. Is Music Maker the program that you are referring to? If not, which program and version? Sorting an alpha-numeric field on a computer always works the way that

MEP 2015 Premium - possible bugs - animation, database, missing icons, create masks
I am testing some of the features in MEP2015 and noticed some problems that are also in VPX6. They both have the same 64 bit engine. Other than problems that others have found here are some other ones that may not be too obvious. I would

RE: Alpha Masks do not appear in Mediapool folders
Hi Peter Same here including MEP 2014. To get round this issueI I created a Resources folder which holds all my Masks, Alpha images, music, video loops etc as shown below and copied the masks from Magix into this folder.   HTH John

Alpha Masks do not appear in Mediapool folders
Hi I am not sure if this is unique to my installation of MEP2013, 2014 Premium but the Alpha masks that are installed with the program do not appear in the Mediapool. All I can see are the HD and SD folders with nothing inside visible, unless I

    RE: video
Hi Peter, You're right of course, and that was my first choice. However, I always find Section a little buggy in MEP2014 and yesterday's exercise was no exception. It worked the first time but when I tried it again to make screen shots, it would

    RE: video
This is easier said than done. One way to do this is with a mask. You need a black and white mask, preferably with the left half black and the right half white. Alternatively, you can use a white mask with a black box and resize it as I did. You

I don't think John was being sarcastic, in contrast to your subsequent reply. I think he was expressing the frustration that some of us feel when we're given so little to go on. To help other users (in this user-only forum) takes significant

RE: Can you work with PNG layer files on MEP2014 Premium?
Hi Dan, I'm not sure that I understand what you want when you say "to apply our footage to the stage etc.." Are you trying to make a video to project on the screen while the band plays? Or are you just trying to make a video where you have

    RE: Movie Edit Pro masks
I don't understand what you mean about: "The duplicate copies of the video with blue-screen are again a very ugly, time consuming workaround..." There is no blue-screen in what you need, simply copy the video from track 1 to track 3, place a

    RE: Movie Edit Pro masks
You didn't state which version of MEP you have or which flavour - regular, Plus or Premium. In 2014, Plus and Premium, there is an HDR Gamma slider with an associated HDR Blur. This allows you to bring up the darker parts without losing the

    RE: Movie Edit Pro masks
Hi, You lost me a bit here. There are different ways to apply masks. The first is simply to apply one to a video clip using the Load Mask from the effects popdown. This mask is simply a black and white or gray-shaded image, where the white

RE: How to mask green screen effect
Hi It is possible to create a mask from the green screen footage (depending on the clip contents), and use this to mask out the parts you want - this also works for where the subject is moving. Create the mask as follows:- Put the green

    RE: Blur in Video
Hi Anirban, Interesting stuff! However, you have to remember that for objects to be blurred, they have to be moving when the shot is taken. Also, if the camera moves or shakes, everything will be blurry, thus one would need to use a tripod. I
