    RE: Installation
ASIO4All fixed the access problem for the turntable. It took some trial and error to figure out how to configure ASIO4All to use the turntable as an input. It partially fixed problems with audacity changing the error message to improper sampling

@CubeAce Hi Ray, Aaaargh! Where did I go wrong? "All I am asking is which sound file is used on exporting the finished video to a final render once an altered audio file from using the external editor is in the project timeline. (In this

RE: VPX12 New Version now out - New Features - Old bugs?
@CubeAce Just so that you are perfectly clear on how MEP and other video editors work, they use files from your hard drive on the timeline. No copy is made (unless you use proxies, but that is different); the file is not in the video editor; the

RE: VPX12 New Version now out - New Features - Old bugs?
@CubeAce Hi Ray, Further to what Jeff said, in keeping with the principle of non-destructive editing, MEP/VPX does not apply effects or anything else destructively - all effects are non-destructive and live, both in the object Audio Cleaning tool

@martin-brennan If you really need to use an mxcogg file on another platform, then simply export it to a wave file.

RE: VPX12 New Version now out - New Features - Old bugs?
@CubeAce Hi Ray, I'm glad that you have it sorted out. Remember, the mixdown is just to get a wave file on the timeline. If you already have an audio file (wav, ogg) then no mixdown is required and you can proceed directly to the external

@CubeAce Hi Ray, It is proposing a filename and location. Just note where and what and accept what it proposes then press OK. That is where the wave file and the HDP and H0 files will be saved after the mixdown. If you do a cancel, it does not do

@CubeAce Hi Ray, My studio is now in front of the lake near home as my wife finds it pleasant to work here. I find it cumbersome, but pleasant. Without going into detail, when you do the Ctrl+D, and the WE screen pops up, you have to actually save

RE: VPX12 New Version now out - New Features - Old bugs?
@CubeAce Hi Ray ...then if you open an external editor it will, or should be working with that original file. I think that is where the creation of the wave, after mixdown, comes in - so it takes the audio data from the video file and creates a

    RE: Big AVIs-Displaying Audio Waveform
@CubeAce But why does a PCM file on it's own be able to be edited in the external editor when importing only and yet in a video file the sound track can't? Is it because the video original can't be altered (NLE) and the external audio editor could

Can someone check right-click on the audio part of a non-proxy video clip and check if the "Edit wave externally" command shows up? I know we have discussed this previously but it seems to me (not knowing much about that function) logical that this

Welcome to the Magix Sound Forge user forum @hinsley. The maximum bitrate for the MP3 audio codec is 320kbs. Constant bit rate (CBR) is best for web streaming. The AAC codec (.mp4 / .m4a) is another format to consider. It is lossy like MP3 but

@johnebaker Hi John. That's interesting. If I'm doing cross fades they tend to be between 3 to 5 frames long but specialist fades are longer than 12 frames. Sometimes because of where frames land I do find it better to do longer cross fades. I'm not
