  @fred-k Hi Fred and Welcome to the Magix Movie Edit Pro user forum. Going from mov to MP4 is not the likely cause of additional noise but more of one of settings in the encoder on export. How are you exporting your files? What method are you using?

  @Dosco You can't "save" an MEP project in mp4 format, "saving" simply saves the project file. Instead you need to export your project. First, make sure you have completed and saved your project. Then go to File>Export movie>Video as MPEG-4.
