  @CarpentersMate Hi Mike. I'm not sure about this though I went through something similar a long time ago but never found a satisfactory resolution. I even installed a virtual machine to run an older copy of windows to try to run some older programs.

  Recording problems with Sony Acid Music 10 and windows 10 . .
  When I try to arm an audio track for recording, or if I try to record at all. . .right away I get a message saying: AN ERROR OCCURED WHILE RECORDING . .. immediately after that, another one pops up saying: THE REQUEST IS NOT ENABLED FOR THIS DEVICE.

  I don't see it like that at all.... So far Magix have delivered an increasingly stable (on my computers anyway) 64 bit version of ACID Pro that is VERY snappy to work with and has added a lot of extra value with the included plugins and synths...

  Thanks for your continued help guys. Graham, the mechanical switch currently is to switch between the synth and the mic as there is only one 'LINE IN/MIC' socket on the soundcard. As it's been pointed out, I've been going about things the wrong way
