@pbrixey It could be that recording is blocked in the Windows security settings and you need to allow that Audio & Music Lab can access your recording interface.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I have turned off all security including Windows firewall, Norton, and did as instructed in the email magix sent. I have been using sound forge for 20+ years and never had these connection problems before. I went so far
