Horrible noise when voice recording in Magix 2016 Premium

Hi, I am trying to record narrations in Magix Music Maker 2016 Premium, using a USB Microphone, but when i click the record button, this loud, horrible sound comes out of my speakers. Anyone else experience this? How do I get rid of it?? Thanks.
