  Hi Which version of Windows are you trying to install the software on? Music Studio Deluxe 12 is a very old version of Music Studio released in 2006 and is very unlikely to work with Windows 8 and possibly not with Windows 7 - common problems

  If MAGIX Music Studio Deluxe (2005) is anything like Music Maker - and I'll bet it is - you would set the track to play "Solo" and then export.  Just make sure the start and stop markers are set properly.
