RE: 20th anniversary MEP 2021 Offer extended until the 11th May
I'm also getting 48fps Smart Render DV-AVI with MEP 2021 as opposed to 38fps with MEP 2020, so despite my system not having any of the gizmos ie igpu nor useable GPU, something's been hotted-up.

RE: LAPTOP UP THE CREEK
@MCK Hi Looking at the laptops you have posted so far they will all handle with 4K video, however, IMHO, they are all lacking what I would consider necessary for what is going to be your main editing device and that is a larger screen size. When I

RE: LAPTOP UP THE CREEK
@MCK It does get brilliant reviews and is classed as a premium laptop in design, it has many pro's but some cons. If you can put up with it getting warm, then a laptop cooler would do the job, but why spend more money for an already expensive

RE: LAPTOP UP THE CREEK
@MCK Great 4k screen, portable and converts to tablet. The HP Spectre x360 runs pretty hot, particularly if you’re using it for demanding tasks such as 3D rendering or 4K video editing. Keyboard can get warm. Gtx1650ti will cope with general video

I've had email notification of a post beginning "That's a hot laptop Intel i9 10th generation, 32gb ram, 2tb SSD and an rtx2060." I'd love to read the rest of it!

RE: MAGIX Video deluxe Plus(19.0.2.58) instable, crashes
@mha @johnebaker As John has mentioned about the extreme heat on CPU and ram, a laptop cooler pad would be ideal to combat and help lower said temperatures and reduce crashes. I had an old laptop many years ago which got very hot and sat it on two

RE: MAGIX Video deluxe Plus(19.0.2.58) instable, crashes
@mha Hi . . . . No failures running at 175F for minutes. MEP usually runs the CPU at lower utilization. Openhwmonitor says both cores are running peak around 160F. . . . The processor temp, of 71°C (160°F) with MEP could be OK, however at 80+°C it

@johnebaker Literally familiar with everything you've said about 720p/bitrates, etc...not to worry. I'm aware of the consequences on video quality and make sure I tailor it as needed for the job. Not everything needs high throughput. Regardless, it

RE: Very Slow Export?
@Morag-Cutts Hi Morag, and welcome to the Movie Edit Pro (MEP for short) user to user forum. First I will say that being able to export a file at 1080p of that length in 10 minutes is pretty fast. Second, from the very little data on your system

Back on Acid for the first time in years. What Happened!?
I had primarily used Acid 3,4 and 7 for years. Seven was good but the plugin instrument situation was super confusing and the load times were insane. I was waiting for 15 minutes to load a song on an i7. I've also used Protools, Logic, FL Studios,

@CubeAce @browj2 @johnebaker Hi Ray Your screen shots of the Eiffel Tower are a very good example of why not to use too much HDR Gamma in VPX ie much more than 20% starts to show dark and light bands, which i think is created by the blurred mask
