RE: Magix Muic Editor 3 - time stretching
Note: stretching the audio will not change the pitch, however it will slow the tempo down, try and keep stretching to less than 10% of the audio length to maintain a reasonable tempo. HTH John EB Hello and my apologies for interjecting on

RE: How to make only ONE audio track
@Jane1 Hi . . . . Is is possible to make the confirmation automatically( by default) when I stop audio recording? . . . . Unfortunately not - the idea of the dialog is to enable you to re-record the dubbing if mistakes or extraneous noises get in to

Hi Jane, Since you are new to editing, I suggest that you watch my tutorials on Basic Editing in Movie Edit Pro (MEP): and then this one about dubbing using MusicMaker along with MEP: After that, you should have a much better understanding as to

Wishlist for future VPX versions (beyond VPX10)
This was previously raised by Magix in this thread. A few of the requests were implemented, significantly J- and L-cuts. I thought that I would refresh this and add to the list, so it's a mixture of (modified) previous requests and some new

RE: Speed - 8mm film scanned at 20fps - need 16fps
Update on my 8mm projects for anyone interested. I have just completed a third project, probably 40+ hours for 11 minutes. I made some changes to the process after the second effort. I used the original scan plus 2 intermediates (mxv). Project

You can drag and drop most audio files directly into SF .. Project files, like those from Vegas <.veg> will not open since they are not 'audio' files. That said, SF is not a good application for over-dubbing (old school term for playing back

RE: Sound Forge 10 (PC) file save tasks that cause transcoding or don't...
Thank you. I had used a couple things years ago...not sure I remember, maybe MP4BOX & something similar, when I was trying to dub externally recorded audio. I was having huge file duration (time, not data) increase, worse than clock drift. SF

RE: Incomplete removal of borders when using Magix stabilization module
Thanks for the video clips - I installed the Lagarith codec and tested the stabilisation with Mercalli v2 - I had to use MEP 2019 as my 2016 installation only has Mercalli v4 - and this is the before and after result of a default settings analysis,

RE: Audio length mismatch
Hi Bob, The immediate solution that springs to mind is to highlight the CD audio track on the timeline, then right click on it and select the timestretch/pitch option. You should then be able to move the central grid marker to stretch the audio

RE: VPX and MIDI Support and Import
Hi Roger, Thanks for taking a look. As much as it would be interesting to be able to import and even create MIDI in VPX, there would need to be access to instruments, a way to assign an instrument to a track, the piano roll to edit the notes, etc.

RE: Why is Sound Forge bundled with Samplitude Pro X3?
@discburn One other point, you can link Samplitude and VPX in a master-slave relationship so that you can edit in both at the same time. When one starts playing, so does the other. This helps with dubbing and scoring a video. But, you need at least
