Ok I understand. How important do you think coupling Acid with Soundforge is? I wonder if, when it gets to audio editing, Acid can offer enough or if it's almost mandatory having Soundforge too. It depends what you mean by 'audio editing'. If you

The resampling/time stretching option which I have had in older versions of MAGIX Audio Cleaning Lab does not appear in the Effects menu of my MAGIX Audio Cleaning Lab II software. I am using Windows 10.

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums. I think you are entirely correct! I never use 96kHz files so this was something of an experiment for me. I imported a 96kHz file to ACL and the Info tab told me it was resampling the file, to 48kHz. I discovered

Thanks for the info on the meters. I too use a brick wall limiter set to around -0.5dB or so as well. The particular file I was working with yesterday had one on the final master bus set to -0.6dB. When I mix down multi-track recordings in my DAW

Thanks John. Did what you suggested but when I increased the tempo again with the Timestretch/Resample function it went silent again. Also, the 'TS' then appears after doing the timestretch, so that's obviously what it stands for. Any increment

Unfortunately no better. In fact, worse. This time I tested it on my Windows 10 i7 16GB laptop. Started with an hour long standard wav file--44,100Hz @ 16bit. Tried to convert to a 192mbps 44,100 16bit mp3 (so no resampling or bit depth conversion)

Guys - why so much negativity?I think it was really a lot of work to make it 64bit. Probably a lot of tedious rewrite. If it wasn't this way Sony probably would do it 10 years ago. This now is a restart. A new beginning. I think that Magix is seriuos

I'm curious to know about the "stern warning" on the Help manual. I only see a warning about exporting to MPEG-2 format. Here is what the VPX manual says about what to do when starting a project: "Audio sample rate: The preset sample rate is 48 kHz.

I'm primarily recording audio for clients and checking it against their choreography video for timing. I have to have the best audio to send to them. If I export the audio as 48 and resample in audio software to 44.1, am I damaging the audio?
