RE: If you have SFP suite, what happens if you upgrade core only?
Yeah, I got the marketing emails. One of the saving graces of Magix is that they have these deal windows where you can get programs at an aggressive price. But suite will always be a big purchase. One of the cool things for a relative newb are

RE: Lots of stuttering since the brand new VPX13 update
@Wayne-McIlvaine Hi Wayne. I know this will not help you at the moment but on some previous update notes and on this page there is a warning not to update the program until you have completed any projects you may be working on. There is a danger of

RE: What should I be setting for bit rate, etc. for max export quality?
@Wayne-McIlvaine @johnebaker Sorry, John is correct. I was answering as if I had found project export settings that worked within one of my own projects ready for uploading to YouTube while working with my own files with known settings. That would

RE: What should I be setting for bit rate, etc. for max export quality?
@Wayne-McIlvaine Hi . . . . Are there no hard and fast rules when max quality is all that matters? . . . . Unfortunately not - there is no 'one size fits all' and how would you define what is maximum quality? From the technical viewpoint it is

Thanks for all the suggestions, folks, I've now tried every combination of h/w. s/w techniques and encodings I can think might help. The only option seems to be to go through hours of scenes tweaking the audio backwards and forwards to try to

RE: Update issues - crashing and static
Firstly, which version of SF do you have? Read the 'Sticky' at the head for the main Sound Forge forum page. If you have Audio Studio, there is an issue with the low latency driver that is known to cause static noise issues. A relatively simple

Are Samples in Loop Packages like Acoutic Guitar Vol 1/2 Complete Song
Are the samples complete and ready to use songs in packages like the Acoustic Guitar? I'm not the best at creating songs with Acid, I don't have a good set of loops, and/or I'm don't understand how to use it properly. So, I'd like to get packages

Import multitrack wav into Samplitude Pro X6
Hi there. I use a separate 32-track recorder to record live tracks. The recordeed format is wav, but a 32ch one. While using Samplitude Pro x5, I was able to import a 32-track wav-file into Samplitude in a way that all the tracks were automatically

RE: Audio Issue
Since you did not specify which version of Sound Forge 15 you have, the registry tweak is only applicable to the Audio Studio version. SF Pro does not install the low latency 2016 driver data.

RE: MEP 2016 Plus Captured AVI Files - Codecs
Greetings, Hmm, this is confusing however looking at the images supplied, @CarpentersMate's previous posts, a lot of supposition and a strong cup of tea this is my take on the problem. @CarpentersMate has captured some DV tapes to AVI with Final Cut

@Scenestealer Hi Peter. I've been using Tech Power Up for some time now so I was bemused by your original statement as there was no sign of such chip changes mentioned on that site. Thankfully John has cleared that up. As far as I can tell since I

Raw Captures done with a LG 990 VCR, Composite only, all captured and processed with MEP. The ADVC is DV-AVI, the others are captured in MPEG 2 at 10,000kbps. Note the very grainy/noisy ADVC ADVC with Neat video denoiser applied - chalk and

In this case an LG 6 head GC980W but I've got 2 others for other tapes when required. Rule of thumb I usually turn off any picture enhancements on the VCRs otherwise IMO you'd have to tweak an enhanced picture. On my DVD recorder no such problems
