  @Axel-Gillespie Hi. No problem. Akai do some good equipment as do M-Audio. I have an M-Audio Axiom 32 Mini and a Roland ED PC-300. I don't have a dedicated sound card but can still get latency down to 10ms @ 24bit 48kHz which is good enough for me

  @Royce-Lerwick One of the main reasons, I believe, that people get ACID or Music Maker is to use loops to create songs, or to create loops to make songs. If you just want to add a song to a video, you do it in a video editor, not ACID. I suggest

  @browj2 I think if I were to make my own music track I would use Cubase as I have in the past. All my source material there is without such problems as I have my own soundbites, samples, and loops, and the instruments don't have such limitations on

  I believe the answer would be yes...to a point. The "point" being you can't alter the note sequences within the basic soundpool samples themselves.  You can sometimes edit these to suit your needs with some effort (cut, trim, copy, paste, etc.)
