  @John-Nation For people like you there is Samplitude which has no problems with MIDI editing. Sadly, I don't think that Magix will prioritize MIDI development in Music Maker. It is a pain to edit MIDIs in Music Maker. It is just a tool for beginners

  What is the difference between Music Maker 2013, Music Maker 2013 Premium, and Samplitude Music Studio 2013?

   Sounds like you just need Audacity? Otherwise buy the Samplitude Studio which will give you a wide range of possibilities e.g. wav, mp3, direct podcast export ... etc. - I don't know about Music Maker, so others will have to answer that. You
