As I wrote before, PluralEyes has built-in support for various NLEs, but not for any from Magix except Vegas Pro. I know this latter is only a fairly recent acquisition for Magix but clearly the code exists within PE and V Pro to allow them to talk to each other.

I wonder, could it be ported to VPX, Vegas and MEP (Premium, at least)?

Hi Guys
I'm back from both gigs now. One battery died before the end and in the other the lighting was terrible from the distance I set the camera up from (about 50 metres from the stage and 10 metres high). However I have some reasonable footage.

Regarding audio: I have over 2 hours recorded from each gig. One is via 2 xlr inputs from the desk + stereo mics (3 tracks) and the other is 1 xlr input + stereo mics (2 tracks). Each one is over 2 hours long. I'll be using Magix Music Maker premium to mix them. It will be very basic. Just getting the volume levels right and then export them as wav files.

then I have 2 wav files. Then I'll take each file and split it into the number of songs on the setlist - about 25. That gives me 25 files (songs) now x 2 = 50 songs.

Next, I'll take the movie files of each concert and split them up into the same 25 files (songs) x 2 for each of the cameras.

Then I take each song-movies and zoom audio and put them into MEP and try to sync them. This is where my problem lies.

So, it is unlikely that timestretching is the problem, because each file is only 5-10 mins long

Hi

. . . . I'll be using Magix Music Maker premium to mix them. It will be very basic. Just getting the volume levels right and then export them as wav files . . .

Now we know which program you are using to mix down the audio:

  1. What samplerate are you using for the combined final WAV file?

  2. Are you using the Compression (IMA ADPCM) option?

  3. Is there a reason for using WAV instead of a mp3 or ogg format?

  4. A MediaInfo analysis of one of the WAV files that is causing the problem would help

Hi John

I use the basic settings that the programme opens with. Why wave? Because I thought it was the best and the one I read about most. When I open the programme tomorrow I'll answer your questions.

What is media info.

As you can see I'm a novice at this. I've been taking stills photos for 50 years and only moved into video 9 months ago. Editing is hugely time consuming

Hi

Assuming you mean the basic WAV export settings, then the bitrate by default in Music Maker is 44100 Hz, Movie Edit Pro works better with a samplerate of 48000 Hz - this is set in the wav export dialog as shown below

MediaInfo is a small utility that analyses audio or video files and tells us what they actually contain with respect to the codecs used and other information about the audio or video streams that are within the file, this is particularly important where the audio or video file is a 'container' file which can hold audio or video in one of many different formats..
