The most common cause of this message is an issue with the graphics card drivers and/or Direct X version installed in your computer.
We need more information:
Computer specification and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full - I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.
Are the graphics card drivers up to date?
A screen shot of the Program settings, Display options or Device options tab.
The trial version worked fine, but after purchaseing the new version I have this problem. All my drivers are up to date, and a new amd graphics card. How do I get a refund and or upgrade to vegas pro?
Please, answer the questions already asked of you!
At the moment, we have no idea about the hardware specs of your computer nor even about exactly which Magix program you have!
Mention of Vegas Pro makes me wonder whether you are actually using Magix Movie Studio? If not but you are actually running Movie Edit Pro I do not think there is any direct way to upgrade to Vegas Pro. MEP and Vegas Pro are from two entirely separate divisions of Magix Software Gmbh.
I'm using Magix Movie Studio, but was a screw up by the looks of it, I thought it was a baby of vegas pro which i've used in years past. I think I'll just take my loss and get vegas pro edit. Thanks
