@Fredrik-Book

Hi Fredrik and welcome to the user to user forums.

First, did you check your computer specs against the minimum requirements to run it as found here?

It should ideally exceed all of the required specifications to run smoothly.

If you feel it does meet the requirements then please post all the relevant computer specs to this topic thread for us to check.

Ray.

Hi

The computer specification is incomplete:

  1. the processor should have 3 or 4 numbers after the i7- and may also have some letters after the numbers

  2. Is there a Nvidia or AMD graphics card installed?

  3. Which version of Windows 10 ?

  4. The version number of Movie Edit Pro

  5. What format are the video files on the timeline, a MediaInfo analysis of the clip you are adding the keyframes to would also help - post the results from the Text view.

See this topic for the details required and how to get them.

ok i have a lenovo ideapad s540 intel core i 7 8thgen. geforce gtx I uploaded an mp4 movie that was 2 minutes long, added an effect with 10 keyframes and everything crashed after 20 restarts so I understood that there were problems with keyframes so I removed them and then the movie works. but it was not real so I thought magix would work. so obviously there is a bug and I do not intend to fix it

magix edit pro premium. latest uppdated win 10. navida geforce gtx. mp4 mowie, do you need mor info

@Fredrik-Book

Hi

We are still missing important information:

  1. the full processor name with all the digits and any additional letters - there are at least 3 different i7 8th gen processors for the S540

  2. the Nvidia GTX model number with all numbers and letters

  3. Windows version

  4. Movie Edit Por full name and version as found under Help, About

Which effect are you keyframing? My bad I should have asked earlier.

. . . . so I understood that there were problems with keyframes so I removed them and then the movie works. but it was not real so I thought magix would work. so obviously there is a bug and I do not intend to fix it . . . .

I do not know where you understand there was an issue with keyframes, however from the information you have given there is a distinct possibility that the issue is with the laptop ie it does not meet the specifications required by Movie Edit Pro (MEP) and changing some settings in MEP may fix the problem with crashing - we need the specific information mentioned above.

Hi Fredrik.

Is it this ideapad?

Have you any idea how much vram your version of the NVIDIA® GeForce® MX250 has? It could be as little as 2GB.

Are you using more than one drive? How much free space is on the C: drive?

Are both GPUs showing up within MEP?

Ray.
