Hi Brian, and welcome to the Movie Edit Pro user to user forums.
The reason you have a black screen is Movie edit Pro is either not supporting your current graphics card or the Intel graphics chip if you have one may not be turned on in your bios settings.
To ascertain which problem it is please refer to this forum sticky post and supply the relevant information here please.
Also was this an upgrade and was it working in a previous version of MEP?
Thank you for your response. I have, for the time being, decided to stay with my 2020 version and will be following up with Magix on the 2021 version later.
. . . . will be following up with Magix on the 2021 version later. . . .
Magix will also require your computer specifications, however the first port of call is here in the forum where there are many experienced users here who are willing to help.
The issue you are having may be solved quickly, particularly as it has been raised many times already, however we do need your computer specification to be able to point you in the correct direction or give you a solution on how to fix it.
When you post in the forum in the future we may still need your computer specifications, to avoid asking for these every time and speed possible solutions or answers please read the topic @CubeAce linked to and put your specification in your signature - see mine as an example.
