Where, exactly, did you purchase MEP and was it "new" (i.e., never previously used) or did you buy it second hand?

If it is the latter it would seem the previous owner has not deregistered it on his Magix account. Until he does so you will not be able to activate and use the product. If he does not deregister it on his account, you will need to ask the seller for a refund.

But can the previous owner deregister the software on his Magix account?

My understanding is we can only deactivate the software so it's not activated against any machine. Deregistering so it can be used by a different user with a different email address can only be done by Magix staff?

This crops up here and on the Vegas forum. @emmrecs is it possible please to get someone at Magix to clarify this?

As my link states " The seller is obliged to report the sale to us and to delete the registration of the product from his account"
