Error -24

The program states my serial number is already registered to a different email address even though I KNOW I used the address that was already filled in the blanks in the program. My Program does not show up in my list any longer. I have a physical copy of the Installation Disc as well as the box it came in with a manual. I have used the software before on this same computer - nothing has changed. I don't understand why it is acting up. If first told me I needed to register when I went to burn a disc and now it doesn't work at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Keith and welcome to the user to user forums.

In this instance I think it best you contact Magix directly via the infoservice@magix.net email address. No-one here can help with a registration issue especially if it is an older copy of the software.

You say nothing has changed but a lot may have changed. If you have switched service providers your old email address may no longer be a registered email address with any server. An old copy of the software may not be able to use the newer internet protocols to verify itself as a legal copy. An update of Windows if using Windows 10 may have sand-boxed the program from using the internet and you may need to put the programs folders on the 'do not scan' list. You may have updated or added a component that makes the program think it is on a new machine. There are possibly other things I haven't thought of.

Do you mean the My Products list at magix.com or under the Start menu of the computer?

What is the full name of the program?

. . . . I have used the software before on this same computer - nothing has changed.  . . . .

As @CubeAce has commented - something has changed on the computer - we need more information:

  1. Are you re-installing the program, if so why?

    or

    did the program just stopped working and wants you to re-register it?
     
  2. Have you used any registry cleaning software such as CCleaner?
     
  3. What is your computer specification, and Windows version - see this topic for more details of what is required, please quote the processor and any graphics card installed make/models in full
