As @CubeAce has asked whether your computer meets the minimum specifications for Movie Edit Pro (MEP) 2021.

We need more information - your computer specification, Windows version and build number - see this topic for details required.

When the program 'freezes' does it become responsive again after a few seconds?

Is there video on the timeline - if so what is the source, format and resolution ? A Mediainfo analysis would help, download and install it and analyse one of the video files on the timeline and post the results from the Text view.

Do you mean MEP 16 from 2010 or MEP 2016?

I have windows 10 with Intel Core 3.6 GHz 64 bit OS, 8 GB hard drive. According to the requirements, amble juice to run this program. I Have MEP 16 from 2010. It does not ever become responsive. It actually locks up the whole system...nothing responds

Hi John.

If your CPU does not have an inbuilt GPU of the one specified as minimum needed or higher you need to disable all hardware acceleration within the program for it to work. Do not use the Direct X driver within the program setup. Even then the results may not be great as you will be relying solely or the software and CPU for rendering.

There are some problems with the spec you are quoting:

Intel Core 3.6 GHz - what is the full model number of of the processor eg i5-nnnnA where nnnn = numbers and A = letter(s) which may be present)

8 GB hard drive - I do hope you mean 8GB of memory (RAM)

MEP 16 is not compatible with Windows 10 - it killed all my versions up to MEP 17 and MEP MX does not run properly on it - was MEP 16 installed before upgrading to Windows 10 or is this a new install?
