How the heck are you supposed to re-activate Samplitude 11...?

drewmo wrote on 2/20/2021, 3:19 PM

I've changed my harddrive to SSD and now need to re-activate Samplitude 11. It says I have an invalid serial number. Was running fine on my old hard drive (still is if I swap back). The website activation center also says I have a wrong serial number. So, basically I'm trying to raise a support ticket with Magix, but I can't for the life of me find where I can do that. It just takes me around in circles. Does anyone know where I do that? If so, perhaps you could post a link for me where I can raise a ticket, cos darned if I can find it...!

@drewmo

Hello, Welcome

Click My Account top right of the home page.

Login with your email address and password

Select My Products from the left side.

You should now see your registered software serial number(s) and hopefully a download link.

If so, Uninstall current one with Revo uninstaller.

Hey Patient-X many thanks for your suggestion, yes, you would think so, right? But... though all my other Magix products are there (going back years to Music Studio!), my Samplitude 11 is not listed. I try to register it, it says invalid serial number. But I have the disk and box right here in front of me with the serial number (and it was running fine before I changed hard disk). I did have this problem a few years back when I upgraded a disk, and was able to get a code sent to me by raising a service ticket, but I'm really struggling to find where to raise a service ticket now.

@drewmo

Yes normally if you upgrade hard drive, you would go to my product and deactivate listed software and reinstall.

Please contact infoservice@magix.net for further assistance.

Ah, finally, after about an hour going around and around, found this page:

https://www.magix.info/us/support/article/how-do-i-contact-technical-support--1513/

Following that through finally gets me to a place you can request support.
