I have no idea how to access the timeline on Movie Studio 2023.

I upgraded to Movie Studio 2023 and now I am stuck because it does not look like any other editing platform. I was previously using Movie Studio 17 Platinum, which I had just started to learn (on my PC). Now, I am completely lost. There is no identifiable timeline and the Help is of no help. Please help. Thank you.

@mark-p7256

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

You are not the first user to be caught out by the fact that Movie Studio versions 17 and earlier are completely different to Movie Studio version 18 and later!

From version 18 to the now latest 2023 the program has become identical to what used to be called Magix Movie Edit Pro. If you search the forum you will find a considerable number of posts "discussing" this change!

So, Movie Edit Pro and Movie Studio have now become one programme, under the Movie Studio name. To answer your specific question, see the screen shot I've posted below; the setting you want is click on the icon at the extreme right hand end, highlighted and now shown in blue.

Hi,

For some reason, MS2023 starts up the first time after installation in Storyboard Mode - First image.

Click on the button in the second image for Timeline Mode.

See this thread for a list of tutorials to help you get going.

I suggest starting with Basic Editing 1 and 2.
