Since you say the installation done OK, have you checked whether MEP is listed in the "Start" screen (Windows key, bottom left hand corner of your computer screen)? I think the most recently-installed apps will appear at the top of the Start list.

If it is listed there, to create a desktop icon, right-click on its name on that Start list, from the menu that opens choose "More" and then "Open file location". This will open a screen that looks like this:

Again, right-click on the app name and choose the option "Send to>Desktop (create shortcut)".

OTOH, if MEP is NOT listed in the Start screen then the installation was clearly NOT OK and you will need to discover why it has not installed properly!
