@Basheer

MEP 2020 is version 19! The latest release is 19.0.2.58, so you are at least one patch behind.

You say you were offered the update from within the program, clicked the button but I stopped. This suggests you stopped the update process. Why?

When you first buy the program or later pay to renew your Update Service, you are then entitled to receive ALL updates and upgrades to the program for twelve months from the date you actually paid. So, if you bought the app, or renewed your Update Service on, say, January 1st 2020 you will receive ALL updates and/or upgrades released up to January 1st, 2021, at no extra cost.

As far as I can remember, I have not seen any reports that updating to the latest version affects existing projects in any way.

@Basheer

Hi,

One year from when you last paid. Please see the Update Service details on Magix.com. You should be aware of this, including the details.

To see the end date of your Update Service, go into your account.

Your projects will work in MEP2020, especially because you already have it. 19.xxxx is MEP2020. Just update to the current patch, 19.0.2.58.

From the day you paid, or the day you installed the software from DVD? I bought mine in a box. Waited a few months before installing. I don't think that Magix knows when I bought the boxed software.

Started with MEP 11, then 17, then MX, then MEP 2013, 2015, then 2016. Changed to the fast competitor after that, which worked fine with my non-Intel hardware. Then bought a used Dell with an Intel GPU, just to play with MEP again. Installed MEP 2020 Plus in March 2020, even tho I don't like losing patches if I have to reinstall after a year.

Testing on a Dell Vostro, <s>i3-8100</s> updated to i5-9400 w/ UHD 630, 16 GB 2400 DDR4 (CL15), Win10 Home, heavily NTLite'd. Now with GTX-1650 Super OC'd. Added a WD Blue M.2 for OS (PCIe 3), Apps, Temps and Video-In. 2 Monitors. A WD Blue SSD for outputs. (SATA III.)
