I am new to video editing and need to learn the theory of it. I would like a good eBook on this product. So far, I could not find the manual for Movie Studio Platinum 14.0. Where can I really learn not only the "how's" but also the "why's" of the program?
I have a Windows 10 PC, dual monitors, color & monochrome laser printers, 48 GB of memory.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I would suggest you view these tutorials in the Tutorial section of the forum.
Once you mastered these there are more tutorials in the Tuorial section which cover specific aspects of using the program and how to achieve certain effects etc..
Although the tutorials may use an older version of the program, they are still relevant.
The PDF manual is available under Help in the program - you may need to download it and I would suggest you use this as a reference to find your way around the program as the latest version has a different layout to the Tutorials.

It looks like you are using Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 14. If so Vegas products have their own forum.
There are Important Posts at the top of this forum page for direction to the Vegas forum. Please note VMS 14 is now several versions old. VMS17 is the most recent.
