License for iZotope Plugins

fbc.dunn wrote on 4/29/2026, 2:36 PM

It is my understanding we were to receive the license keys for the iZotope plugins that came with our purchase of SoundForge Pro 18. However, we received no email that included any license keys. We have tried in vain multiple times to contact support and all we get is an AI response telling us the same thing over and over. So, can anyone direct us to how we can obtain the keys to actually register the iZotope plugins?

Regards.

Hi @fbc.dunn. the iZotope activation codes should be in the same email as the Sound Forge activation serial code. The iZ plug-ins need to be activated though iZotope. It you did not get any email from Magix, check your spam/junk folders. Otherwise, try Magix sales support: https://www.magix.info/us/support/ and/or try email them at: infoservice@magix.net or sales@magix.net .
As you may be aware, BorisFX recently acquired Sound Forge, Acid Vegas, ect.. Magix is still responsible to support the versions they published though. If you purchased SFP-18 just recently, contact BorisFX and they will probably give you Sound Forge 2026 which was just published. It appears to be the same as SFP-18 with some bug fixes and still includes the iZ Elements plug-ins.

Thank you for the information. We checked several times our email, including spam/junk, but never saw email with those activation codes. We will pursue the avenues you mentioned to see if we can get resolution.

Well, seems we've reached a dead end. We have repeatedly tried through https://www.magix.info/us/support/ and all we get our AI responses with suggestions by the AI how to get it forwarded to human support, but nothing we reply to it gets us anywhere. The same AI response comes back. Really frustrating.

We contacted BorisFX, and they stated: "Looks like you'll need to contact Magix regarding the matter. We have no way of issueing izotope licenses."

So, here we are with software we paid for but unresolved license issues. Any suggestions?

@fbc.dunn Another user couldn't reinstall Sound Forge 18 because of a wrong e-mail address and also waited weeks without responses from Magix support. And then they asked Boris FX support who contacted Magix support for them and the problem was solved in couple of days, see here: https://www.magix.info/us/forum/unable-to-activate-sf18-pro-after-a-reformat-of-my-computer--1351695/

I'm not sure what the problem with Magix and not answering support tickets is. They had a backlog of over two thousand (!) open tickets in February. I also submitted a support request last year and it took about three months before my problem was solved. I assume that their AI system is either broken and doesn't forward messages and they don't care about this or they are simply too slow to answer tickets after reducing staff.

But, as you can see in the thread above, there seems to be a way to get real human support, as long as you know a contact inside Magix.
