MAGIX Video deluxe 2026 Premium (Constantly Crashing on Startup)

ItsMichael wrote on 9/4/2025, 4:34 AM

Good day to you all,

I've been for weeks waiting on responses from Magix support team with no response.

The problem is I followed tutorials on a known issue with the software crashing on startup, deleting data in %appdata% and at the same time reinstalling the software.

I've had no success in fixing the immediate crash of the software and am out of options, the error is linked to GPU-related matters based on the error message.

Since having no success updating the software, no success with reinstalls and following the information provided, I contacted support directly with no success or responses.

The affect, is that I just threw money are software that does not work.

Does anyone know alternative options to try and get this working or to get support to respond?

@ItsMichael Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Nvidia GPU drivers? Have you tried a previous driver version? Use the studio drivers, which are tested more thoroughly, not the game ready drivers.

@ItsMichael

Welcome to the Magix users forums.

Yes, it is very disappointing when new software fails to "work properly" but, where we can, fellow-users will do their best to help you!

I assume from what you have written that you have followed the AI Bot advice and deleted those various files/data recommended and removed and reinstalled the appropriate NVidia drivers? Your post seems to imply that you ahve actually uninstalled and reinstalled VdL; that was not recommended and can often simply multiply the problems, unfortunately.

To help us to help you please tell us a lot more about your computer, its hardware and version of Windows. This pinned post will show you the level of detail that is really useful to have! If you add it to your Signature (see mine below for an example) it will be automatically appended to any post you make.

@ItsMichael

Hi

In addition to @SP. and @emmrecs comment about re-installing the drivers.

Download the latest Game Ready (GRD) drivers for your GPU and when asked do a clean install, if you are not gaming, install the drivers and NVidia control panel only.

Redoing the Studio Drivers version 580.97 Release Tuesday August 12 2025 according, deleting %appdata% MAGIX videodeluxe file, as reopening the software results in an interface that does not respond.

I'll check into trying more options as they come up. Thank you!!!
