What a miserable program! I reinstalled the whole thing, but I still get the same "failed" message.

After uninstallation I couldn't find the "installation.ini" file, even though I had the "show hidden files" on. So I couldn't delete it.

Hi

. . . . After uninstallation I couldn't find the "installation.ini" file, even though I had the "show hidden files" on. So I couldn't delete it. . . .

The use of Revo uninstaller free is highly recommended for uninstalling programs, once you have initiated the uninstall from within Revo and it completes, Revo then scans the registry, and for files left behind associated with the program, and gives the option to delete them.

I got new instructrions from the support. They adviced me to use a Microsolf tool to uninstall the program. Maybe that is a similar tool like Revo?

Anyways, it didn't work. But I have to ask more advice from them, since I'm not sure if I understood it correctly.

While waiting their answer, I'd like to ask those of you who have a functioning Blu-ray feature in your MEP: What does your registry look like? Here's a picture of mine. You can see the registry key in question in the first row, and then the names, types etc. on the right. Do you have a value set for the (default) row? With Registrar Registry Manager I might be able to change that value into something. Maybe into something that would activate the Blu-ray feature?

Hi

My same registry key is:

  • default value = value not set (0) - this is quite common where there are multiple sub keys.
  • ID1 to ID3 in my setup are different and positive values, yours are all negative - whether this is significant I do not know
  • the ID4 value is the same as yours
  • the VoucherID is different, as it should be

There are 2 other keys of the same name with identical settings in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\WOW6432Node\CLSID\{9FC4E15D-9AB6-4E78-A084-AC178A308C50}

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Classes\CLSID\{9FC4E15D-9AB6-4E78-A084-AC178A308C50}

Finally, FINALLY, I got the Bluray feature activated. It was another key that was causing the problem (told support).

Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{9F5F521F-522F-4149-9609-078509D4FD9B

I deleted it, started MEP again, tried to activate Bluray... and SUCCEEDED!

Then I burned my first Bluray... and that failed. The disc burned ok, but when I try to play it in my computer or Samsung Bluray-player, there's sound only for 5 first seconds, and after that it's completely silent. And the video is also strange - seems jerky and incorrect speed.

I try to make another project and see if that works.
