When you said you converted the file what other adjustments did you make? Did you convert the variable frame rate to a constant frame rate and did you convert the audio sample rate to 48kHz? What format did you convert to?
Without more information on your computer system and program version we would be guessing what the issue is due to and the correct route for fixing it - see this topic for details of what is required and my Signature as an example and put your specs in your signature for future reference if you have other issues.
There are two issues with the video file:
It is variable frame rate (VFR) - most video editors do not like VFR video
It is encoded HEVC - if you do not have the appropriate decoder installed the video cannot be decoded.
. . . . . I tried converting the files to other formats . . . .
With which program and what formats did you try converting to?
I have both MAGIX movie Edit Pro 2013 and MAGIX movie Edit Pro 2021.
When I tried to convert the file, I didn't make any adjustments. I can try that. I tried converting the file to various formats including AVI video, Windows Media, MAGIX video and MPEG-4. No matter what format I converted to, the sound was working but no image when played through either MAGIX program.
I used the conversion program through the Magix move Edit Pro 2021 software.
I downloaded the HEVC Video extension and added my folder with the videos to the program, but that didn't fix the problem in MAGIX movie edit pro 2021.
