@Len-Nasman

Hi,

You should read some of the News and threads about this. It was a decision by the Vegas team to stop further development of Vegas Movie Studio against the wishes of Magix, to be able to concentrate all of their resources on Vegas Pro. Magix came to the rescue with a version of Movie Edit Pro that would allow Vegas MS users to import projects done with older versions, to a limited extent.

See this - read the entire thread.

And this.

What you are being offered in the way of Magix Movie Studio is actually Movie Edit Pro that comes with a ton of features, presets and content that Vegas Movie Studio has never had. You do have to learn the new interface, but almost everything that you could do with Vegas Movie Studio can be done, and more. Watch the tutorials.

Anyone who finds something that can be done in Vegas Movie Studio that they think cannot be done in the new version 18, should ask on this forum, and we will try show how to do it, or if not possible, we'll put it on the wish list for Magix.

You have multiple timelines in the same project (still only a wet dream for Vegas Pro users), Travel Maps, Soundtrack Maker, a much more advanced SlideShow Maker with music with your photos and videos cut to the beat, collages, 3D Titles, Lower Thirds and more types of titles, PiP presets, and Film Templates with music - some with options of 30 seconds to 2 minutes, many images overlays, many transition types and transitions. Most of this is only available for download after purchase. You can also purchase even more in the in-app Store, including royalty free music, sound effects, transitions, collages, theme packs and more. Magix is always adding new content and features.
