Music Recording Zero - totally screwed

I simply cannot work out why things got so bad, but months ago I was happily recording, then everything changed. It has been weeks and weeks again before I've dared try to solve this problem of not being able to record. Now, it's even worse than before. Even when I get a vocal recorded (but cannot hear it back, even though I can see it there) the backing track cannot be heard. I'm pulling my hair out and crying it's that bad. It sucks being me in this tech mad society. Yes, venting because I'm just going to explode or something if I don't. sssssssssss........... Help. I don't have any tech savvie musos this end.

@Eleyan

I think we can all very much sympathise with your rant, but..

We really need a lot more details from you about what is happening, or not!  Because we cannot see your computer this really is essential, even if somewhat tedious to do.

First, please read this pinned post and give us as much detail as you possibly can that is requested there. It's a very good idea to put that in your signature then it will always appear with your posts. Please ensure you include as much detail as possible about your audio equipment, interface, driver etc.

Second, exactly which version and build of MM do you have?

Third, tell us, step by step, exactly what you do when attempting to make a recording, with information about what happens (what you see/experience) at each step.

With all the above we, fellow users, may well be able to offer ideas to you to help resolve the issues.

@Eleyan It would be also a good idea to show us a screenshot of your Music Maker Audio/MIDI settings.
