I've been having trouble running my magix edit pro. it opens up but then i get a troubleshoot box that is either a "null" or a "igdrcl64.dll" error. Any tips on how to fix it .
I'm pretty sure it means the current project you have been working on has corrupted and may open with the corruptions in place and may crash again when you try to use the project. This will normally happen at a specific point in the project each time it plays.
If you can locate the project folder you will see backup copies of your project made by MEP in the background while you were working that have the extension BAK. Try opening one of those (by double clicking on it) with an earlier time and date stamp and see if that runs without problems. It may not have all the work you have done to the project to date but may be stable. Work from that copy but try giving it a new name and save the project before adding any more editing to it.
Projects can corrupt for a number of reasons but the main one is forcing a quick shutdown of the program. That could happen by turning off the PC straight after closing MEP without your knowledge and while MEP is still tidying up files in the background after shutting down the program and windows being shut down, shuts MEP down prematurely.
Worst case scenario is you may have to start the project again.
Good housekeeping helps prevent this from happening.
Make sure each project has its own folder.
Make sure your project drive has plenty of space to work with.
Save the project frequently manually.
Try not to shut your computer down as soon as you finish using MEP. Give it a few minutes.
If windows says a program is still running while you shut it down, wait and don't force a shutdown.
. . . . a troubleshoot box that is either a "null" or a "igdrcl64.dll" error . . . .
In addition to @CubeAce comment this could also be due to a driver issue, assuming you have an Intel processor check that the drivers are up to date, to be certain though we need to know more about your computer.
